Established in 1992, Optitek, Inc. is an Information Management Company that helps their clients eliminate paper, reduce costs and boost efficiency. Optitek is currently seeking to fill a position of Systems Administrator.

The Systems Administrator will assist in the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and hardware systems and related infrastructure, both internally and externally. The Systems Administrator will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the company systems operations, make recommendations for implementation and handle installs. This position requires the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments.

• Uses team recommendations to develop, install and maintain in-house software programs including writing or modifying basic scripts to resolve performance problems and/or writing new scripts/programs from scratch
• Provides extraordinary customer service and support to Company’s clients by providing on-site and remote implementation, technical support, and coordination of upgrades and installs
• Experience with Scripting
• Builds and maintains a knowledge base of technical issues and resolutions for clients
• Provides emergency on-call support for both organization and customer systems

OTHER:
• Helps to maintain professional IT environment through organization, inventory, archival, and purging of unused hardware and software resources, books, cd/dvd’s
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
• Attends and actively participates in department meetings, weekly meetings and other meetings
• Performs other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Superior communication skills
• Experience installing, configuring, customizing and providing support for Client/Server applications
• Experience installing and configuring SQL Server

PREFERRED:
• Experience installing and configuring SQL Server
• Experience with scanning and/or imaging equipment and software
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience desired
• Professional Microsoft System Admin Experience: Microsoft S2K3/S2K8, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, Active Directory, Virtualization, Cisco
• Microsoft and Cisco Certifications Desirable
